Billet Homes need for the 2021-2022 Season

The Oceanside Generals are looking for billet homes for the upcoming season! Billet families are one of the cornerstones of Junior hockey, and this is your chance to be apart of it!  Be a part of the Gens family and make some long lasting relationships with these young men.

We have been a billet family for over 5 years and have made life long friendships with our billet kids.  They are a part of our extended family and keep in touch with most of them.  It is a great way to give back to a sport that our family has been a part of for so long.

Our players will be in need of homes from the end of August through the end of the season.

Generals Add Veteran Goaltender

GENERALS ADD VETERAN GOALTENDER

Parksville — New General Manager Rick Hannibal has pulled the trigger on his first big move.
The Generals acquired Goaltender Blake Wood from the Nanaimo Buccaneers for a Player Development Fee this week.
The 2001-born goaltender went 8-13 with a 3.73 GAA and .902 SV% with the Nanaimo Clippers and Victoria Grizzlies during the 2019-20 season.
Wood who calls Nanaimo home did not play last season but is expected to bring some veteran leadership to a young Generals team this upcoming season.
“Blake brings experience to our young goaltenders and knows what it takes to get to the next level,” said GM Rick Hannibal.
Wood has played more than 50 games in the VIJHL, all with the Buccaneers and has always played well at the Howie Meeker Arena against the Generals.
“He was a standout goaltender in this league when he was 16 and 17 and now at 20 he is going to be one of the best in the league,” added Hannibal.

Wood is expected to join the Generals at the upcoming Spring Camp later this month.

Video Tribute to our 20 year olds who were stopped in their tracks during the 2020 playoffs

We had big plans for last season until Covid stopped us in our tracks. The season didn’t end the way we had hoped. However we won some big games thanks to a great group of players including our vets.
We wanted to pay tribute to the vets one more time. Thank you gentlemen for everything you did for the hockey club both on and off the ice.
