Marek Babic – Head Coach & Assistant GM
The Generals are ecstatic to welcome!
Marek was born in Bratislava, Slovakia and began playing hockey in Toronto. During his 11 years as a pro, Marek has played in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Slovakia, and France.
Marek has worked as a skills instructor for 30 years, and is entering his 14th season coaching hockey.
Marek has spent the past three seasons with the Slovan Bratislava junior team in the Extra Liga. He served as an assistant/defence coach and skills coach in the youth sector, and with the men’s pro team Modre Kridla.
Last year, the team won both the league and National Championships as the top junior league in the country.
