Kyle Ireland
Kyle has been calling he Oceanside Generals games on 88.5 The Beach and Hockey TV for four seasons. Kyle first got behind the microphone when he was in high school doing the PA for his hometown Coboug Cougars. He is a graduate of Fanshawe College with diplomas in Broadcast Journalism and TV News. Kyle is also a news broadcaster on the weekends and at Island Radio. Kyle has won the VIJHL Broadcaster Of The Year two consecutive years in a row 20178-2018 and 2018-2019.
Dan Lemmon
Dan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and played his minor hockey with the Winnipeg Monarchs and Winnipeg Jr. Jets organizations until his family moved to Nanaimo, BC. Dan played 3 years for the Parksville Generals, before moving to Cowichan to play for the Cowichan Capitals for the last two years of his junior hockey. Following his junior hockey career Dan had many options to continue his career, but chose to stay in Nanaimo and complete a degree in Physical Education at Vancouver Island University. It was during this time that Dan decided to begin coaching. Dan has coached as an assistant and head coach for the North Island Silvertips Major Midget program, as well as head coach for the Oceanside Generals and Nanaimo Buccaneers Jr. B organization. Dan’s coaching career was highlighted by winning the VIJHL coach of the year award in 16-17.
Scott Bickerton
Scott was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC. He grew up playing his minor hockey with the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association then moved on to play with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and Powell River Kings in the BCHL. Scott also played briefly with the Campbell River Storm and Oceanside Generals. Scott graduated from The University of Northern British Columbia (2013) with a degree in Commerce. He lived in Prince George for 6 years obtaining his degree and working at a Financial Institution, before moving back to Nanaimo in 2015 with his wife Brianna.
Chris Lennox
Chris was born in Abbotsford and moved throughout the province growing up. His minor hockey was played in the Comox Valley where he also suited up with the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. After high school he moved to Prince George where he got his degree in History. Chris has been involved with hockey for 25 years, most recently assisting Gerry with the Nanaimo Midget Tier 1 Clippers in 2014-15.
