PARKSVILLE, B.C- The Oceanside Generals made a big roster move this week by re-acquiring Forward Foster Martin from the Saanich Braves for a Player Development Fee.
The Port Alberni product had 15 points in 15 games with the Braves before the move.
“We’re happy to announce the return of Foster to our fans and the community. Foster brings a wealth of experience to the Generals having won the VIJHL Championship last season. His work ethic and dedication to the game will be a huge asset for our younger players to learn from” said Generals GM Andrew Riddell.The Port Alberni broke into the league during the 2016-17 season with the Generals, collecting 19 points in 45 games.
Now a veteran in the league Martin says he hopes to bring leadership to the hockey club.
“It’s always good to come back to the organization that brought you into this league and its bitter sweet to come home in your last year.”
Martin helped the Victoria Cougars win the VIJHL Championship last season.
