Generals Add Promising Young Defenceman

The Quality Foods Oceanside Generals are proud to announce the commitment of defenceman Tanner Hamilton.

The 2001 Langley-born native has been on the Generals radar for awhile now according to Head Coach and General Manager Jesse Hammill.

“Tanner reads the game very well. He gets in the right lanes and his first pass is very good. He has a heavy, accurate shot from the point and is a born leader,” said Hammill.

Hamilton took part at this past weekends Spring Camp.

“I like to consider myself a defensive defenceman who makes smart plays at either end of the ice,” said Hamilton.

“I thought he got stronger and more comfortable as the camp went on. He really showed his leadership and coachable characteristics,” added Hammill.

Last season Hamilton played 29 games with the Delta Hockey Academy Midget Varsity Team. He collected 14 points, including 2 goals and 14 assists. Hamilton also played 3 games with the Midget Prep Team at Delta, notching 1 goal.

“Everything about the Generals seemed to be a perfect fit, both scholastically and athletically. It seems like an amazing program that helps you to develop as a better person and player,” notes Hamilton.

Welcome to the Generals Tanner! See you at main camp in August.
